Survey Finds Few Aware of Allied Worker Shortage

The shortage of allied health care professionals in California may be just as acute as the state's registered nurse shortage, but not as many people are aware of it.  According to a survey commissioned recently by Fenton Communications, only 24 percent of respondents were aware of the shortage of allied health workers, compared with 69 percent who were familiar with the state's nursing shortage.
