From Behind the Chair to Behind the X-Ray Machine 

Maegan’s professional story is as unconventional as it is inspiring. Her career started as a hairstylist, but she soon found herself wanting to make a bigger impact on people’s lives.

“One of my coworkers at the salon was attending X-ray school,” she recalls, “and the more she talked about it, the more I realized this was something I might love.” 

What began as a chance conversation soon turned into a bold leap, as Maegan enrolled in radiography school and fell in love with the field almost immediately. Today, she thrives on helping patients and contributing to their care during some of life’s most stressful moments. 

Taking to the Road 

Being from Atlanta, Georgia, and currently residing in Delaware, Maegan has taken full advantage of the travel opportunities her role offers. Her assignments have brought her to locations like Pennsylvania, Washington, D.C., and soon, Johns Hopkins in Baltimore. She specifically chooses assignments close to home so she can visit her family and pets on weekends.
