  • The Director of Surgical Services provides vision, leadership, and accountability in developing, driving, and implementing strategies, integration, and key initiatives for the Surgical Service Line across the Columbus Regional Health System.
  • Department oversight includes Outpatient Surgery, a 13-bed OR, PACU, Anesthesia, and Endoscopy.
  • Reporting to the Vice President of Hospital Outpatient and Nursing Services, this leader will oversee a team of three direct reports and approximately 125 FTEs.
  • This leader will diligently work to optimize the daily operations of the OR by developing action plans to meet key quality metrics, fully leveraging EPIC capabilities, and assisting in the transition to a Co-Management/Value-Based care model.
  • Ideal candidates will be experienced clinical leaders with excellent communication and relationship-building skills. They should adopt a balanced leadership style, listening to staff needs and providing effective solutions. Candidates should be positive and influential leaders capable of driving lasting change. A minimum of 5 years of direct nursing experience in Surgical Services is essential.
Requirement
  • BSN required; MSN preferred.
  • Active RN license required.
  • Must have demonstrated progressive growth in leadership roles over the past 10 years in a healthcare environment, with at least 5 years of leadership experience required.

  • The Director of Cardiac Services provides vision, leadership, and accountability in developing, driving, and implementing strategies, integration, and key initiatives for the Cardiovascular Service Line across the Columbus Regional Health System. 
  • Department oversight includes the Cath Lab, Endoscopy, Cardio-Diagnostics, Cardiac Rehab, Wound Center, Vascular Surgery, CVOR, and Hybrid OR.
  • Reporting to the Vice President of Hospital Outpatient and Nursing Services, this leader will oversee a team of three direct reports and approximately 100 FTEs.
  • The Director will collaborate with leadership to develop a strategic plan aimed at attracting new patients and expanding the service line. This leader will also address scheduling issues, ensuring team and departmental alignment. Additionally, the Director will review metrics, identify areas of weakness, and implement corrective action plans.
  • Seeking an experienced leader capable of building effective working relationships and demonstrating firm yet respectful leadership. Strategic thinking and the ability to drive growth within the service line are essential. Extensive EPIC experience is required.
