  • The Vice President of Operations will oversee the administration and operations of ancillary services and service lines at El Camino Health. This includes pharmacy, imaging, laboratory, rehabilitation services, as well as service lines in Mental Health, Cancer, Heart and Vascular, Neuro/Ortho/Spine/Robotics, and Women’s Health.
  • This position will report to the Chief Operations Officer and oversee approximately eight direct reports.
  • This leader’s responsibilities include upholding Quality and Safety standards by analyzing external benchmarking metrics to enhance the quality of care. Additionally, they will prioritize fostering a positive organizational culture, ensuring staff engagement, and providing opportunities for mentorship and professional development. Lastly, they will focus on financial stewardship, identifying strategies to enhance cost-effectiveness.
  • The ideal candidate will be a highly organized, strategic leader with a strong executive presence and ability to help grow the hospital system. Candidates must be capable of working independently and be creative problem solvers. 
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree highly preferred.
  • A minimum of seven years of management experience in a healthcare setting is required. Prior experience overseeing Ancillary Services and/or Service Lines is highly desirable.
  • Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) preferred. 
Compensation RangeThe base salary range for this position is $254,000 to $381,000 annually. In addition, a leader may be eligible for other benefits, including but not limited to health insurance coverage, retirement benefits, and bonuses. The total compensation for the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to scope of role, level of experience, education, accomplishments, internal equity, budget, and subject to Fair Market Value evaluation. The base salary range listed above is a good faith determination of potential base compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.The Organization
