Join AtlantiCare as the Associate Chief Nursing Officer for Perioperative Services and play a key role in overseeing system-wide perioperative nursing operations in the vibrant setting of Atlantic City, New Jersey.The Position
  • The Associate Chief Nursing Officer for Perioperative Services oversees the clinical, administrative, and financial operations of the Perioperative, Sterile Processing, Pre/Post PACU, Endoscopy/Interventional Radiology, and Operating Room nursing teams at AtlantiCare System's City and Mainland Campuses.
  • This leader will report directly to the Chief Nursing Executive and collaborate closely in a triad partnership with the Chief of Surgery and Chief of Anesthesia.
  • This leader will be responsible for sustaining the day-to-day operations established by the interim leader, with a focus on ongoing improvements in OR efficiency, implementing new scheduling strategies in 2025, and upholding accountability within the team to ensure high standards of patient care.
  • Ideal candidates will be a seasoned surgical nurse leader who can navigate complex challenges, make strategic decisions, and effectively collaborate with physician leaders to drive change.
  • This position will sit at the Mainland Hospital, with regular travel required to the City Hospital location.
Requirements
  • A Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field is required; Doctoral preferred.
  • Active RN required; CNOR certification preferred. 
  • At least eight years of leadership experience in surgical services, with a strong background in managing large, multi-disciplinary teams across multiple hospitals and departments.
Compensation Range
  • The base salary range for this position is $200,000 to $230,000 annually. In addition, a leader may be eligible for other benefits, including but not limited to health insurance coverage, retirement benefits, and bonuses. The total compensation for the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to scope of role, level of experience, education, accomplishments, internal equity, budget, and subject to Fair Market Value evaluation. The base salary range listed above is a good faith determination of potential base compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.

  • Reporting to the Vice President of Clinical Operations, the scope of services encompasses Trauma, Surgery, Surgical Services, and Surgical Business Operations.
  • This leader will play a key role in departmental initiatives, including collaborating with surgeons to establish standardized costs of care. Additionally, they will drive safety and quality initiatives for the system. Lastly, they will focus on optimizing tools and workflows within the Service Line, replacing outdated practices to enhance efficiency and patient outcomes.
