ER RN’s work in hospital emergency rooms and departments (ER and ED), ambulances, helicopters, urgent care centers, sports arenas, and more. ER’s and hospitals are given a Trauma Rating I-III based upon the kinds of resources available in a trauma center, and the number of patients admitted yearly. Level I is the highest (capable of providing total care for every aspect of injury) and Level III (Level-3) being the lowest. Education/Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN): 4-Year Education 
  • Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN): 2-Year Education 
  • You must earn an ADN or BSN degree and pass the NCLEX to apply for a license as a RN. 
  • RN‘s can only work with an active state license.
