SIMPLIFI CLINICAL INTERVIEWS General Information Beds: 6 Experience: 2 years of Critical Care (Cardiac preferred) Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes Patient Types: Cardiac: Post CABG – 24/48 hr. post op, Pacemaker insertion, VADs, Post Cardiac Cath (radial and femoral approach), Fem Pop Bypass, Post MI, CHF, Chest Pain r/o, STEMI, NSTEMI Vascular: AAA repair, lower limb vascular procedures, amputations as a result of vascular insufficiency General ICU (Med/Surg) overflow Patient Ratios: 1:1-1:3 (acuity dependent) Required Certifications: BLS ACLS CPI/MOAB Skills required: Cardiac and Vasoactive drip management, Vent and Bipap Management, Chest tube management, Cardiac rhythm interpretation TR band experience (preferred); IABP (preferred) Cath Lab team pulls femoral sheaths CRRT – not provided at this facility at this time Support on the Unit: CNA/HUC (Ratio: 1:6) – staffing dependent and not always available Charge nurse: 24/7 – takes patients Phlebotomy – peripheral blood draws only House Supervisor, 24/7 RT, 24/7 Intensivist, 24/7 in house Telemetry monitoring: Central and Bedside Technology/Equipment: EMR: EPIC (strongly preferred) IV pumps: Alaris Medication dispensing: Omnicell Monitors: Spacelabs Floating: If yes, where? General ICU PCCU (optional) ED Holding (optional) Orientation: (facility and unit) 1-2 NEO orientation – includes EPIC test 1 shift in ICU Scheduling: Weekend rotation: every other Required call? No Holiday Expectations: holiday rotation required Approval of time off: up to 5 days – otherwise, must request manager approval If requesting a full week – must extend to accommodate a 13-week contract Shift times: 7a-7p; 7p-7a – cannot clock in until 7 minutes before shift starts Schedule cycle: 4 weeks Other notes?
