The practice of nursing requires specialized knowledge, judgment, and skills to provide care to groups and individuals. The RN utilizes knowledge derived from the principles of biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. All care is provided based on the concepts inherent in the model of care for TCH which promotes an on-going partnership between patients and families and the team of healthcare providers. The care is culturally based and age specific. The RN adheres to American Nursing Association (ANA) code of ethics and to the scope of practice described in the Ohio Nurse Practice Act.

TEMP TO PERM contract – need to be open to applying for perm Contract Length: 13 week contract – Temp to perm position Start ASAP Locals accepted – no adjusted rate; standard BR applied Dysrhythmia exam required – study guide available in Simplify library Minimum of 2 years (unbroken) Cath Lab experience Minimum of 1 year travel experience Required Certs/Licenses: — RN, BLS, ACLS Regular Shifts: 10 hour shifts Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday On Call Shifts: Rotating call shifts minimum of 7 on / 7 off Shifts vary but typically run 7AM-5:30PM in Cath Lab with 5:30PM-7AM call (Fridays and weekends are 24 hour call shifts) Unit Specific Details: Bed amount – 2 Cath labs, 1 EP lab, 1 hybrid OR Drips – Cardiac drips Lines/Drains/ Specific devices used – Medtronic heavy for devices and supplies Machines – McKesson and Cupid. Cath — Impella, balloon pump, penumbra, Volcano, OCT, Phillips X-Ray system, EP – Boston Scientific mapping system, farapulse Oxygen — Yes Patient population – Adult only Support staff (if applicable) – It is a 4 person / team Lab RN’s & Rad Techs for most cases. May also utilize anesthesia staff for certain procedures.
