3 – EP Labs Must Scrub Ablation Procedures, Device Placements, Watchman Procedures

Duties Below EP experienced RN Job duties: Nursing duties as applicable Scrubbing any procedure Circulating any procedure Perform ablations, device implants, Appendage closure procedures, Laser Lead, cardioversions and others.

Scope of role: Charge RN duties. Education of RN staff. Preceptor of new RNs and travel RNs. Monitoring, circulating and scrubbing all EP procedures. Assists with inventory ordering. Scheduling of EP staff. Vets out next days cases for proper pre orders, medication requirements. Ensures room runs efficiently and oversees turnover

350 bed Level 1 Trauma center and Teaching hospital, Comprehensive Stroke Center. • Number of Beds: 3 rooms for EP • Equipment: Siemens, Cardio Solution; Stereotaxis • EMR: McKesson Cardiology & Cerner • Must Have Skills/Experience: 2+ years of working experience in an EP Lab • Preferred Skillset/Experience: Ablation (EP studies, A fib, Flutter, SVT) Pacemakers insert and removal, Leadless PM, Watchman, Loop recorders

Visitors to the hospital’s museum may see some of Dr. Long’s personal artifacts and medical memorabilia from the hospital’s early days. Emory Crawford Long Hospital was renamed “Emory University Hospital Midtown”, effective February 13, 2009. However, as part of Emory’s commitment to honor a more than 100-year history of the original name, ‘Crawford W. Long Memorial Hospital’ is retained on exterior monuments. Today, Emory University Hospital Midtown has more than 1,200 Emory Clinic and 440 private practice physicians spanning 28 specialties.
