Provides nursing care and services to patients/families. Provides direction to licensed practical nurses (LPNs) and nursing assistive personnel. Delegates nursing care according to legal and regulatory guidelines/statutes and organizational policies. Utilizes reasonable judgment in carrying out prescribed medical orders of a practitioner. Functions as primary nurse/total patient caregiver. Serves as resource nurse. Acts as preceptor and takes charge duties as assigned.

This department provides triage, treatment and support for trauma and emergency patients of all ages in an acute care setting. If the department is designated as a trauma site, the hours and expenses related to triage and treatment of trauma patients is included. However, the hours and expenses related to the administration and support of the Trauma program and it’s services (i.e. Trauma registry, trauma coordinators) should not be included here. Located in beautiful Northern California, Adventist Health Clear Lake has been a leading healthcare provider in Lake County since 1968. We are comprised of a 25-bed critical access hospital and provide primary and specialty care services at clinics throughout the area to best serve our community. Job Summary: Delivers coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff, and coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment. Job Requirements: Education and Work Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN): Preferred Acute care facility experience: Preferred Licenses/Certifications: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice: Required Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification: Required Facility Specific License/Certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Healthstream Advanced Cardiac Life Support (HS-ACLS) or RQIACLS: Required Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Healthstream Pediatric Advanced Life Support (HS-PALS) or RQIPALS: Required Essential Functions: Collects relevant data pertinent to the patient?s health or situation. Provides learning opportunities for patients/family members and team members. Directly provides health information to patients, families, and treatment team. Participates in discharge planning in order to provide continuity of care. Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties of healthcare team members. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

ER RN MUST have STRONG ER experience, MUST have ER travel experience **Please only send pre-closed candidates that can accept if offered. • ORIENTATION DATE: 1/7/25 13 Weeks • SHIFT: 12 hours rotating – 7a-7/9a-9p/10a-10p/11a-11p (WILL WORK EACH and EVERY ONE of the shifts listed, as needed by the hospital) CERTS REQUIRED: BLS and ACLS (AHA only), PALS (AHA only) or ENPC, NIHSS Certs preferred: CEN, TNCC Years of experience required: 2+ years ER experience required, highly prefer 3-5 years. Prefer some Trauma experience and Pediatrics experience is STRONGLY preferred. EMR: Epic preferred. MUST have superior references – all fields must be scored in the highest capacity! Certs preferred: CEN, TNCC
