No, at least 2 years of OR experience required Will you accept a first-time traveler? No Patient Types: Peds to adults (peds experience preferred): Peds Neuro, Traumas, Heart and Vascular, Surgical Oncology, General, Urology, GYN, Neuro, Craniotomies, Thoracic, Robotics (ex. Drape the robot, exchange instrument in arms), (hearts/thoracic, surgical oncology), ENT, Ortho, Ortho Trauma, Podiatry, Dental, Plastics, Breasts Patient Ratios: 1:1 Required Certifications: RN: Required: BLS, ACLS (as of 1/8/24); Preferred: CNOR, PALS CST: BLS, CST Skills required: RN: experience with the above patient types, circulate that can scrub, IV starts (preferred) CST: experience with the above patient types, ortho/trauma, neuro (spinal fusions, craniotomies) required Support on the Unit: Charge Nurse – does not take an assignment CSTs FAs Surgeons Anesthesia RNs Technology/Equipment: EMR: Meditech – preferred Medication dispensing: Pyxis Davinci XI – experience required Floating: If yes, where? No floating Orientation (how many shifts): up to 1 week Scheduling: Weekend rotation: call only – see schedule below Call? If so, what is that schedule? Both RNs and CSTs: 1 weekend/month, Saturday and Sunday – 0700-1900 or 1900-0700. 2-3 overnights/month – EOS-0700 30-minute response time – no sleep rooms Holiday Expectations: no holidays Approval of time off: Can we approve time off on your behalf, or would you like all requests sent to you? Up to 7 days – if the candidate is requesting 7 days, please ask if they’re willing to make that up at the end of the contract.
