4) 10 hour shifts per week. Each shift (M-F) is 2 pm to 12 am. This role will be supporting an adult CCT program and the candidate preferably has prior experience with ground transportation. When not actively on a transport case, the two RNs will have “downtime” assignments in the department (chart / quality reviews, etc.).

Top 10 Diagnosis/Procedures: STEMI, DKA, s/p code, CHF, COPD, NSTEMI, SEPSIS, arrythmia issue Special procedure done on the unit: CRRT, Artic Sun, EKOS, Balloon Pump, Vigellence, Tranvenous Pacing. Common Equipment: vent, Bipap,SCDs, IV pumps, Feeding pumps, Glucometer Documentation: Meditech Titratable drips: cardizem, levophed, epinephrine, dopamine, dobutamine, nitroglycerin, – most all vasoactive drips

A Brief Overview: The Clinical Nurse (CN) is an RN who provides hands-on care to patients, practicing in an evidence-based manner, within the Scope of Practice of the California Nursing Practice Act, regulatory requirements, standards of care, and hospital policies. Within that role, the CN performs all steps of the nursing process, including assessing patients; interpreting data; planning, implementing, and evaluating care; coordinating care with other providers; and teaching the patient and family the knowledge and skills needed to manage their care and prevent complications. The CN partners with the patient’s family wherever possible, considering all aspects of care, to deliver family centered care. As a professional, monitors the quality of nursing care provided. The Clinical Nurse is responsible for his/her own professional development, including licensure, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, and maintaining current knowledge regarding the assigned patient population. This unit provides intensive, comprehensive care and monitoring for medical, surgical, and cardiac patients having experienced shock, trauma, or other life-threatening conditions. Job Summary The Registered Nurse ICU plans, coordinates and implements patient care specific to the age of the patient population served on the assigned units. He/she ensures that quality care is provided in an efficient and safe manner, consistent with the units standard of care.
