Unit delivers 4,000 babies every year (330 BPM) & includes 16 LDR, 6 OB ED, 10 Antepartum, 3 OR, 4 PACU, and uses Cerner charting. 700+ bed Level 2 Trauma center. Position Details Must have 3+ years of L&D experience (travel experience NOT required) Circulate C-sections. Scrubbing NOT required, but preferred. No EKG exam No local candidates (must live outside 50 mile radius) May float within the New Life Center Unit Details Equipment: Alaris IV pumps, CADD Epidural pumps, Phillips Avalon Fetal Monitors, transitioning from GE to Sapphire Monitors; This is a high risk OB unit – Preeclampsia, PTL, MgSO4 and induction with Oxytocin as required We have a level 2 NICU and have close relationship for transport to a sister facility for level 3 support. Small (3-4 nurses) friendly unit, great team work. BLS, NRP, ACLS and advanced FHM (AWHONN) required

Position Specific Details Will consider 48-hour requests L&D RN NO LOCAL CANDIDATES (no candidates within 50-mile radius – proof of address required w/ submission) EKG Exam NOT Required At least one year L&D experience required, Travel experience preferred Need to be comfortable circulating a C-section (no scrub necessary). Fetal monitoring experience needed but certification isn’t necessary. BLS & NRP required. 12-Hr Nights (7P-7A), On call 1-2 shifts every 6 weeks Every other holiday & weekend required Unit Specific Details Equipment: warmer, GE monitor, pulse ox, blood glucose Skill Sets: fetal monitoring or cardiac monitoring Patient Population: High acuity; language barriers, substance abuse, chronic conditions affecting pregnancy 3 RNs and one tech for most shifts Occasional float to Mother Baby possible Ratio*: 1:1-2 *Ratios are never guaranteed but what the unit attempts to achieve with normal staffing. Ratios are subject to change based on staffing.
