Located only one hour from the San Francisco, with great weather year round, enjoy expansive open spaces, beautiful parks, trails, and local and regional attractions. The 11 bed Labor and Delivery unit has an average of 150-160 births per month. Will provide care to patients in labor, Caesarean sections, Hysterectomy. Should have experience with Cautery and Fetal Monitor equipment.

Located in beautiful Redwood City, this medical center includes our hospital and several outpatient facilities. Only 27 miles from downtown San Francisco, Redwood City offers Theater, music, dance, cultural arts, and more make this an inviting community for the entire region. Enjoy 13 weeks of exploration on your next 13 week assignment. The Labor and Delivery unit of this hospital maintains 120 births pre month with 4 day average per day. Will provide diagnoses of patients in labor, scheduled sections, unplanned sections, PIH, Twin and induction. The ideal traveler will have experience floating to Postpartum or Level 2 nursery. The OB Doctors and Certified Midwives are readily available strong team relationships between staff members and providers.

The 8 bed Labor and Delivery unit is in need an RN experienced in Laboring mothers, deliveries and high risk perinatal. Average births per months for this unit are 220. Traveler should expect to float to Antepartum and Postpartum areas and provide care for Couplet care, skin to skin after birth.

Job Summary: Delivers coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff, and coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment. Job Requirements: Education and Work Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN): Preferred Acute care facility experience: Preferred Licenses/Certifications: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice: Required Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification: Required Essential Functions: Collects relevant data pertinent to the patient?s health or situation. Analyzes the assessment data in determining diagnosis and care issues. Develops a plan that prescribes interventions to attain outcomes. Implements the plan, coordinates care delivery, and employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment. Evaluates progress toward attaining outcomes. Identifies outcomes for the patient or the patient?s situation. Collaborates with the team of patient, family, and healthcare providers in providing patient care in a safe, healing, humane, and caring environment. Provides learning opportunities for patients/family members and team members. Directly provides health information to patients, families, and treatment team. Participates in discharge planning in order to provide continuity of care. Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties of healthcare team members. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
