Location is Twin Cities Job Summary: Plans, organizes, directs, evaluates, communicates and teaches functions and responsibilities associated with employee health services. Job Requirements: Education and Work Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN): Preferred Licenses/Certifications: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure: Required Nurse Practitioner (NP) licensure: Preferred Essential Functions: Develops, administers and maintains policies and procedures for health services and for organizational that are consistent with organization goals. Oversees pre-placement and annual medical surveillance including the ordering of, interpretation and evaluation of diagnostic tests and exams. Ensures by review of documentation that employees are medically capable of performing their basic job duties. Refers identified employees to their physician or other healthcare providers for further medical follow-up. Reviews documentation of employee injuries and follow-up actions. Provides treatment and case management for work-related employee injuries and illnesses. Works with treating physicians, directors, supervisors, injured workers and carrier in an effort to return the injured worker back to work as soon as possible and to prevent future injury occurrences. Coordinates investigation of employee exposures to communicable diseases. Monitors employee accident trends at least quarterly and reports findings and actions to appropriate leadership and staff. Coordinates immunization and alcohol and substance abuse programs for prevention and control of communicable diseases or harmful substances for employees. Coordinates permanent job modification for employees. Provides return to work clearance for employees off with non-occupational injury or illness as requested. Reviews physician statement and secures additional information. Maintains proper medical records, employee health files, documentation and record-keeping required by Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Title 22 and organization policy and procedures and other required agencies. Participates and initiates improvements and prevention ideas as a result of trends in health and compensation information. Attends informational meetings and seminars and shares information through reviews and teaching. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
