Visitors to the hospital’s museum may see some of Dr. Long’s personal artifacts and medical memorabilia from the hospital’s early days. Emory Crawford Long Hospital was renamed “Emory University Hospital Midtown”, effective February 13, 2009. However, as part of Emory’s commitment to honor a more than 100-year history of the original name, ‘Crawford W. Long Memorial Hospital’ is retained on exterior monuments. A great way to join the Emory team! Candidate will be doing recovery and procedure – Stress unit if needed to float (Heart and Vascular is Pre and Post-op area not Cath lab). HV is a pre and post area for procedural areas which includes Cath lab, EP, EVL, and IR. RN’s will Administer medications, initiate IV/maintain IVF, connects to monitors, obtain vitals, performs assessments and obtaining med/surg history, Stress lab (which includes weekend call), TEE/cardioversions, EKG interpretations, moderate sedation, provide discharge instructions and aftercare Top 10 diagnosis – hypercholestermia, hypertension, heart failure, arrhythmias Looking for an RN with experience in Exercise Stress Test, EKGs, Echos, Stress Echos, Nuclear Stress Test

Patient Population: neonate to elderly (all age groups)

Must have critical care PACU skills; Must have high acuity critical care PACU experience noted; Must have experience with critical care, art lines, multiple titrating drips, cardiac monitoring, etc; Must have experience in a large, teaching facility to submit.

Medical Procedure Unit RN (MPU): n the MPU, the agency RNs do the prep and recovery of patients here for Colonoscopy, ERCP, EGD, EUS, bronchoscopies, TEE, EBUS, PEG tube insertion in addition to cardioversions and ECTs. MPU RNs will assist with sedation for patients getting CT/ultrasound guided procedures and have RNs that both circulate and assist in the procedures. Please note that OR RNs are not present in the MP unit. They are only present when the MPU RN floats up to the OR to assist with a scope specific portion of a procedure the patient is getting in the OR.
