One year recent (within the last 3 years) experience in acute hospital OR, working on a variety of surgical procedures. On-Call: Twice a month average. One weekday and one weekend day either Saturday or Sunday typically. Phase 1, 2, 3 recovery. 18 pre-op bays, 16 recovery bays

The RN Clinical Periop Nurse is a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team of licensed and unlicensed care givers who ensure that patients, families and significant others receive individualized high quality, safe patient care. They practice in a clinical environment that is administered by Nurse Managers and other leaders and is supported through the WellStar Shared Governance Model. The framework for practice is steered by the WellStar Professional Practice Model, 5-Star Nursing and evidence based practice and research. HV is a pre and post area for procedural areas which includes Cath lab, EP, EVL, and IR. RN’s will Administer medications, initiate IV/maintain IVF, connects to monitors, obtain vitals, performs assessments and obtaining med/surg history, Stress lab (which includes weekend call), TEE/cardioversions, EKG interpretations, moderate sedation, provide discharge instructions and aftercare Top 10 diagnosis – hypercholestermia, hypertension, heart failure, arrhythmias Looking for an RN with experience in Exercise Stress Test, EKGs, Echos, Stress Echos, Nuclear Stress Test
