Ancillary staff includes, but is not limited to, a Rapid Response Team, phlebotomists, EKG technicians, Respiratory Therapists, and Physical and Occupational Therapists. Patient population is a combination of tele and medical status patients, all tele patients are monitored remotely by a CCT. Patient population includes treatment of any medical or stable telemetry diagnoses – COPD, sepsis, COVID and other respiratory illnesses, ETOH withdrawl, DM, GI bleed, etc. May float to Intensive Care Units for a telemetry/medical appropriate assignment, medical-surgical units, as well Renown South Meadows. Extremely busy and fast paced environment serving a 500-mile radius. Level 2 trauma center, Stroke accreditation, 800 inpatient bed hospital, 80 ER beds. The volume and pace required to work here are that of level 1 trauma center

Unit Description: 38 bed unit that is staffed with RN’s, CNA’s, Critical Care Techs (CCTs) and Advanced Care Techs (ACTs). Patient ratios are determined by patient acuity/workload and are typically 1:4 up to 1:6. CCTs monitor ECG rhythms on all telemetry patients 24/7. ACTs assist with transport, admit and discharge tasks, IV and Foley insertion, ADLs, and limited medication administration. Ancillary staff includes, but is not limited to Rapid Response Team, phlebotomists, EKG technicians, and Respiratory Therapists.
