29 bed unit that is staffed with RN’s and CNA/CCT’s. Staffing matrix is between 1:4-6 patients. Ancillary staff includes, but is not limited to, a Rapid Response Team, phlebotomists, EKG technicians, Respiratory Therapists, and Physical and Occupational Therapists. Patient population is a combination of tele and medical status patients, all tele patients are monitored remotely by a CCT. Patient population includes treatment of any medical or stable telemetry diagnoses – COPD, sepsis, COVID and other respiratory illnesses, ETOH withdrawl, DM, GI bleed, etc. May float to Intensive Care Units for a telemetry/medical appropriate assignment, medical-surgical units, as well Renown South Meadows. Extremely busy and fast paced environment serving a 500-mile radius. Level 2 trauma center, Stroke accreditation, 800 inpatient bed hospital, 80 ER beds. The volume and pace required to work here are that of level 1 trauma center

Medications include non-titratable cardiac medication drips (Cardizem, Lasix, Nitro, etc). May float to Intensive Care Units for a telemetry/medical appropriate assignment, medical-surgical units, as well Renown Regional. Unit Description: 38 bed unit that is staffed with RN’s, CNA’s, Critical Care Techs (CCTs) and Advanced Care Techs (ACTs). Patient ratios are determined by patient acuity/workload and are typically 1:4 up to 1:6. CCTs monitor ECG rhythms on all telemetry patients 24/7. ACTs assist with transport, admit and discharge tasks, IV and Foley insertion, ADLs, and limited medication administration.
