Academic line and rank will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.In addition to those with general training, the Department is interested in individuals with training and experience in: Cardiac Anesthesia, OB Anesthesia, Pediatric Anesthesia, Pain Management, Critical Care Medicine, Regional Anesthesia, or anesthesia-related research.The department is actively recruiting Clinician Educators for these divisions: Cardiothoracic Anesthesia, Multispeciality Anesthesia, and Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesia. 
  • The major criterion for appointment as Clinician Educators is excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, teaching, administrative and/or scholarship appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill.
  • The major criteria for appointment for faculty in the University Medical Line shall be excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, clinical teaching, scholarly activity that advances clinical medicine, and institutional service appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill.
The successful candidates must have an MD, DO, or foreign equivalent, be board-certified or eligible for certification, and eligible for a California medical license or exemption.
