The UC Davis School of Medicine's Department of Internal Medicine invites applications for an esteemed academic position within the Division of Geriatric Medicine, Hospice, and Palliative Medicine. We seek a dynamic individual to contribute to the advancement of our expanding geriatric program, capitalizing on UC Davis's unique resources, including one of the nation's most well-funded Alzheimer’s Disease Centers. Renowned for excellence, UC Davis ranks highly in Primary Care and Geriatric Medicine by US News and World Report.Ideal candidates will be board-certified in Geriatric Medicine, demonstrating a passion for medical education alongside exceptional clinical and communication skills. The ability to collaborate effectively within our diverse team is essential. This position offers the opportunity to pursue either a Clinician-Educator or Clinician-Researcher track.Responsibilities can include providing direct patient care, educating medical students, residents, fellows, and advanced practice providers, and participating in further development of geriatric educational outreach initiatives. With flexibility at its core, this position encompasses a spectrum of clinical opportunities, from outpatient care at our Healthy Aging Clinic to inpatient services on the new approved geriatrics consult service, dementia care, new niche clinical program development, and beyond. Moreover, candidates can pursue scholarly activities, creative work, educational, and research activities aligned with their interests and expertise.
