Explore Pediatric Rheumatology Jobs Across the US

AMN Healthcare is excited to share a variety of opportunities for Pediatric Rheumatologists seeking positions throughout the United States. Major metropolitan areas, including New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Houston, are often at the forefront of hiring specialists in this critical field. These cities boast top-tier medical facilities that are keen to enhance their pediatric services, specifically in rheumatology, given the increasing incidence of diagnosed pediatric autoimmune diseases. Additionally, other vibrant cities like Atlanta, San Francisco, and Seattle also present promising options for Pediatric Rheumatologists to make their mark in patient care.

As Pediatric Rheumatologists, physicians play a pivotal role in diagnosing and treating conditions such as juvenile idiopathic arthritis, lupus, and other complex rheumatic diseases. Hospital systems seek these specialists not only for their expertise in medication management and patient education but also for their ability to develop comprehensive care plans tailored to the unique needs of children. They may be involved in multidisciplinary teams, collaborating with pediatricians, physical therapists, and occupational therapists to ensure optimal patient outcomes. While children’s hospitals represent one significant sector of employment, Pediatric Rheumatologists may also find opportunities within outpatient clinics, academic medical centers, and research institutions dedicated to advancing knowledge in pediatric diseases.

Living and working in the United States also presents opportunities to explore an array of cultural, natural, and historical sites during your downtime. Whether you’re hiking in the stunning national parks of Utah or California, enjoying the vibrant arts scene in Chicago, or savoring the diverse culinary landscape in New Orleans, there is no shortage of adventures to be had. For Pediatric Rheumatologists considering positions in the U.S., three key aspects to contemplate include the stability of permanent roles versus the flexibility of locum tenens positions. Permanent roles often provide more comprehensive benefits, including health insurance and retirement plans, while locum positions offer flexible schedules and the chance to travel. Ultimately, the choice between permanent and locum work will depend on your personal and professional priorities, but both can lead to fulfilling career opportunities in the rewarding field of pediatric rheumatology.
