Ranked one of the best universities in the nation, Texas A&M and the highly reputable Shannon Medical Center seek an inaugural Internal Medicine Faculty for an innovative clinician-educator opportunity. The incoming physician will be a residency faculty member with a reimagined schedule to optimize work-life balance and educational impact.
Innovative Schedule Structure:
- Primary Schedule Option: 1-week inpatient /1 week off/2 weeks outpatient
- Inpatient Week: 12-hour shifts
- Outpatient Weeks: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Integrated time for academic responsibilities during outpatient hours
- No admissions after 5:00 PM (except during call shifts)
- Career Transition: Open to mentoring providers making a career switch with IP or OP focus within the last decade
- Procedural Flexibility: Open to candidates with or without procedural interests
