The Opportunity
The Fox Chase Cancer Center has partnered with AMN Healthcare to recruit the next Chief of Endocrinology. This is an exciting opportunity for an accomplished academic endocrinologist to lead and further advance an established, high-performing program at an outstanding NCI-designated comprehensive cancer center.
Reporting to Dr. David Weinberg, Chair, Department of Medicine and Audrey Weg Schaus and Geoffrey Alan Weg Chair in Medical Science at Fox Chase Cancer Center, the new leader will oversee the research portfolio and all clinical and educational activities of the division. The chief will have resources to support the mentorship, recruitment and retention of faculty and will additionally manage financial resources. This Chief of Endocrinology will be a key member of a busy clinical group, collaborating within a multidisciplinary environment and will help develop research programs within endocrinology. The Chief of Endocrinology will lead a team with a significant role in providing comprehensive care, treating all benign and malignant endocrine conditions, including the acute and chronic effects of cancer and cancer related therapies. At Fox Chase, and in conjunction with clinicians and investigators across the Temple Health System, there are outstanding opportunities to pursue meaningful clinical and research collaboration.
With the resources and support from the Department of Medicine and other Fox Chase leaders, the new Division Chief will be well situated to deliver on stated goals: elevating and further developing the division’s research portfolio; recruiting, mentoring, and retaining outstanding faculty; managing efficient clinical operations; and nurturing existing relationships with the opportunity to expand the clinical footprint across the growing enterprise. These specialists also study, manage and treat the consequences of cancer treatment. The clinical practice trends towards less focus on diabetes management.
Endocrinology faculty members are dedicated to excellent clinical care, inquiry and innovation, and this is a wonderful opportunity to build upon and expand the research footprint of the Division. With over 150 funded FCCC researchers, a large immunotherapy program across all of medical oncology with potential expanded linkage to the Temple campus, strong head and neck, urology and other specialty cancer programs, there is ample opportunity for collaboration.

The past few years have seen significant advances in Fox Chase’s clinical, operational, research, and financial performance.
