JOB DETAILS

The Dialysis RN is responsible for direct and individualized nursing care of patients based on the application of scientific nursing principles and standards of care. In addition to general nursing care, the responsibilities of the dialysis RN include specialized care for patients requiring chronic and acute dialysis (hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis) and infusion services.

Safely and effectively operates dialysis equipment, cannulates and maintains patient access sites, effectively monitors patients during treatment modalities and provides for patient family eduation.
Accurate interprets and records information, identifies and responds to irregular dialysis reactions and notifies the appropriate medical team members.
Maintains dialysis water system and testing according to regulations.

REQUIREMENTS

Registered Nurse, Dialysis Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) Strong IV skills

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

peritoneal dialysis and/or hemodialysis experience preferred.
