Join the brand-new Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center-GW Health, as their first ever Director of Risk Management in historic Washington D.C! 


The Position

  • The Director of Risk Management will be responsible for the oversight of day-to-day risk management, quality, and compliance initiatives. 
  • The Director of Risk Management will oversee multiple specialty units and will strive to find healthcare trends while providing clinical and risk management guidance to ensure quality patient care. 
  • This leader will also be responsible for risk management and quality initiatives throughout the urgent care, and inpatient psych unit.
  • Seeking an experienced and data-driven Risk Management leader who will be well-equipped to lead initiatives throughout multiple campuses while implementing process improvement strategies as needed.
  • Ideal candidates will be collaborative leaders who will develop, maintain, and foster positive working relationships and will lead onboarding and training initiatives throughout the department.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree is required. 
  • Nursing and/or master’s degree is strongly preferred. 
  • Active RN license is strongly preferred. 
  • A minimum of seven years of leadership experience including a minimum of five years of clinical experience is required.  

The Organization

  • Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center, opening in April of 2025, ill be the first new full-service hospital in the Washington DC area in over 20 years. 
  • With 136 beds, the hospital will be a $434 million full-service facility and will also include a 500-car garage, community space, and a helipad equipped for emergency transports. 
  • The facility will include multiple specialty areas including maternal health, labor and delivery, an ambulatory pavilion for physician offices, trauma care, pediatric emergency, and adult emergency care. 
  • Cedar Hill will be a teaching hospital partnering with The George Washington University Hospital and integrating clinical care with existing providers.
